Winter is THE TIME in the region of Zell am See-Kaprun. Between the Schmittenhöhe and the glacial ski resort Kitzsteinhorn, a skiing wonderland awaits you, which has everything for all ability levels and taste. Slope action across all mountains
On the local mountain of Zell am See-Kaprun, the Schmittenhöhe, a diverse ski area for the whole family awaits you. On over 70 kilometres of slopes and with 5 runs down into the valley, advanced skiers can carve down the slopes. The view of up to 30, three thousand metre high peaks will provide you with some very memorable moments. For over eight months of the year, the glacial ski resort Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun with guaranteed snow, provides the best slopes and most up to date facilities for early season starts or late season sessions, up until spring. In midwinter, it is the stunning Freeride-lines and the powder snow, which will entice you above everything else to go skiing on the Kitzsteinhorn.
Away from the slopes – ski touring and Freeriding
Right behind the Seehotel Bellevue, the mountain starts. A clear sign that our location is perfectly in fitting with the Alpine ambiance of the sport region Zell am See-Kaprun. In Thumersbach, less than 500m away from the hotel, we have created our own ski touring route. The tour to the Ronachkopf delights skiers with a first class view over the Hohen Tauern, whilst in the Enzian hut, a nice cosy break awaits you. High Alpine ski touring and Freeride sessions can be found on the glacial ski resort Kitzsteinhorn. Nice climbs and great panoramas await you along the sign-posted ski tour, you can experience cool powder sessions on the five different Freeride-lines. Safety checks are included and guiding upon request can be organised at any time.
